What size albums do you accept?
We accept albums up to 14” x 14” and can extract photos of any size within the album.
How much does it cost to digitize the images in my album?
We only charge you for the successfully scanned photos. If a photo doesn’t get scanned, it won’t cost you anything. The cost per scanned images from your album is $0.35 each. Most albums have 100 to 200 photos, which would cost $35 to $70.
Can you digitize documents within my album?
Yes, we can digitize documents within the album as long as the dimensions of the document (unfolded) do not exceed that of the album. If the document is folded or is not attached to the album, we may need to touch the document to position it for scanning. We would treat the document with care.
How do you scan a photo album?
Capture uses a patented technology to digitize images straight off the pages of your album. This creates a touchless process and removal of the photos from the album is not necessary.
Will album scanning damage my photos?
No, it won’t! Our patented technology of digitizing images straight from the album pages so no handling of the individual photos is involved. This, in turn, eliminates any chance of damage to your photos through the album scanning process.
How long does album scanning take?
You will receive your completed order in about 4 weeks (includes processing and return shipping) from the time we receive your album; it will include your originals and any Digital Copy, USB, or DVD you ordered.
Will my original items be returned?
Yes! Your original media and containers will be returned with your completed order.
What will I receive?
You will receive your original album(s), a digital copy of each media in a downloadable format, plus any additional devices you ordered, such as a USB thumb drive and DVDs.
What does touchless album scanning mean?
It literally means we are not touching the photos in your album. Our patented technology of digitizing images straight from the album pages creates a touchless process where no handling of the individual photos is involved. We will need to touch your album to position it in our scanner, but will not touch your photos.
